Melaka: Melaka PKR State Leadership Council (MPN) chairman Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin has called on all members to strengthen unity in preparation for the State Election (PRN), expected to be held next year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shamsul Iskandar emphasized that division and factionalism would only weaken the party's ability to gain support and secure victory in the upcoming polls. He stressed the importance of unity, stating, "After the party elections, we must bring everyone's hearts back together. Raising past disputes or minor issues after the elections are over will only weaken the party's strength, whereas the real focus should be on the common struggle."

Shamsul Iskandar shared these remarks while speaking to reporters after attending the Sambutan 27 Tahun Reformasi event organized by MPN Melaka. The event saw the participation of more than 200 PKR members and leaders in attendance last night.

The Melaka State Legislative Assembly is set to expire in December 2026, emphasizing the need for the party to consolidate its efforts and focus on the upcoming electoral challenge.
