SIC Collaborates to Enhance Traffic Management for 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix

Sepang:The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is actively collaborating with transport partners and relevant authorities to improve traffic, shuttle, and crowd management strategies for the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, these initiatives come in response to issues faced by fans traveling to and from the circuit, particularly during the evening departure period.

SIC emphasized that the experience and safety of fans are its top priorities. The circuit operator has advised attendees to plan their journeys in advance and stay updated with the latest travel information via official social media channels.

Fans are also encouraged to follow the instructions of officials and on-ground signage, as traffic arrangements may change based on current conditions. SIC expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and cooperation, looking forward to providing an enjoyable and safe experience at the circuit.

On social media, several ticket holders shared their frustration over severe traffic congestion when leaving the circuit, with reports of long waits for shuttle buses connecting parking and public transport areas.

In July, Formula 1 announced that Malaysia would host the Gulf Air Bahrain GP from October 2 to 4, following an agreement between Formula 1, the F©d©ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain. This agreement ensures the Bahrain GP remains on the 2026 F1 calendar after being canceled earlier this season due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
