Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) is broadening the scope of the Servis Ihsan MADANI (SIM) Programme by incorporating Perodua and Proton alongside PETRONAS AutoExpert. This initiative aims to alleviate vehicle maintenance costs for the public.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali announced that customers participating in the programme can avail a RM70 subsidy for maintenance services at the service centres of Perodua, Proton, and PETRONAS AutoExpert. This subsidy is part of the programme's National Month 2026 expansion and is subject to specific terms and conditions. The programme now includes 531 service centres and workshops nationwide, with 221 belonging to Perodua, 186 to Proton, and 124 to PETRONAS AutoExpert.
Consumers interested in this initiative can book services through the respective applications offered by the service providers: UFirst Perodua Passport app for Perodua, Proton Link 2.0 for Proton, and Setel for PETRONAS AutoExpert. Armizan emphasized that this expansion is part of the broader Payung RAHMAH MADANI initiative, which seeks to implement the 'Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati' spirit through beneficial public initiatives.
In addition to reducing maintenance costs, the programme aims to promote regular vehicle maintenance, ensuring vehicles remain in optimal and safe condition. Armizan shared these updates following the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM 2026) celebration at the KPDN level, which also featured activities like the National Month RAHMAH MADANI Sales Programme (PJRM), Batik Hues Exploration Competition, and Patriotic Challenge: I Love Malaysia.
Furthermore, the ministry's strategic partners are offering special benefits for the public as part of the HKHM 2026 celebrations. Notably, TikTok Shop Malaysia is hosting the Jualan Ihsan RAHMAH 9.9 online sale on September 9, providing 10 to 30 per cent discounts on selected essential goods. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier indicated that this sale would be launched to coincide with the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration, with collaborative support from various parties, including relevant ministries, to extend the benefits to more people.
