Kuala lumpur: Sime Darby Property Bhd today launched a new logo, reaffirming its role as a trusted leader and nation builder with a legacy spanning over 50 years in property development. Its chairman, Datuk Rizal Rickman Ramli, said the brand refresh is a strategic evolution to ensure the group continues to deliver sustainable value for all stakeholders. He said every step the group takes is guided by careful consideration to remain relevant, to create meaningful impact, and to contribute to Malaysia's growth in ways that matter, from sustainability and biodiversity to partnerships and customer experience.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, as a company under the stewardship of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), Sime Darby Property's mandate has always extended beyond business performance. The company shares PNB's vision for nation-building and social advancements. The brand refresh sharpens the focus on that responsibility, reinforcing its role in developing sustainable communities, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities that benefit Malaysians, Datuk Rizal Rickman Ramli stated during the brand refresh launching ceremony.
Meanwhile, group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azmir Merican said the Sime Darby Property brand is a promise built on decades of delivery while highlighting that staying relevant requires evolution. He noted that from Sime UEP Properties Bhd to today's Sime Darby Property, the group's inherent legacy has always been about creating townships that endure and communities that thrive. The brand refresh reflects not just who the group is today, but the strategic direction it is charting for the years ahead.
Azmir emphasized that the group's industrial and logistics developments, like the City of Elmina and Bandar Bukit Raja, are more than just buildings, as these developments are shaping economic corridors and attracting global businesses through strategic partnerships. Additionally, the group's investment and asset management platform is expanding, with retail, commercial, and industrial assets that provide recurring income and long-term stability to complement its core business.
According to Sime Darby Property, the brand refresh also reflects the group's strategic priorities under its SHIFT25 strategy, which has entered its final phase. This includes strengthening recurring income streams and establishing itself as an urban solutions provider. This direction is already visible in its industrial and logistics portfolio, as well as its entry into the data centre segment at Elmina Business Park.
With a legacy that spans over 50 years in property development and more than 200 years through the heritage of Guthrie, Golden Hope, and Sime Darby, the group has long played a defining role in shaping Malaysia's townships and communities. From pioneering projects such as Taman Melawati and Subang Jaya to award-winning townships like Bukit Jelutong and the City of Elmina, Sime Darby Property has delivered more than 100,000 homes across 26 active townships, today serving more than 300,000 Malaysians.
