Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several places in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor until noon today. In a statement issued at 9 am today, MetMalaysia announced that bad weather is expected to affect areas in Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, and Kuala Muda in Kedah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in Perak, the inclement weather is expected to impact the areas in Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak. Meanwhile, in Selangor, Sabak Bernam is anticipated to experience the adverse weather conditions.
