Six MRSM Students Face Expulsion Over Bullying Allegations

Kuala lumpur: Six students from the MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) in Johor are facing expulsion following their arrest on suspicions of bullying a fellow student, according to MARA Chairman Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. He emphasized that the students would be expelled if found guilty.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has instructed MARA's Secondary Education Division and the MRSM administration to convene the College Disciplinary Committee meeting within 24 hours. This urgent meeting aims to conduct a thorough investigation and take decisive action against any student involved in the bullying incident.

The situation came to light when the victim's parents shared the ordeal on social media, revealing their 14-year-old son had requested to leave the college due to the bullying he endured. The police have launched an investigation after the parents lodged a formal report, and the six Form Five students have been remanded for two days to assist in the inquiry.

Asyraf underscored that any form of bullying or taking matters into one's own hands under the guise of disciplining junior students is unacceptable. He reiterated his firm stance: "YOU TOUCH, YOU GO," highlighting that there would be no compromise for bullies at MRSM.

Additionally, Asyraf encouraged all MRSM students to report any bullying incidents immediately and warned against any attempts to conceal or protect those involved, stating that MARA would take appropriate action if such behavior is discovered.
