Kuala lumpur: The South Zone Sarawak Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Convention, set for September 20, will play a pivotal role in reinforcing unity and consensus within the party, as well as aligning its strategic direction. The convention is designed to empower the party's machinery to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness, placing priority on the welfare of the people and the state of Sarawak.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PBB Senior Vice President Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof emphasized the importance of the convention in ensuring cohesive leadership and grassroots movement. This unity is essential for the successful execution of Sarawak's development agenda, which aims to create a more advanced, inclusive, and sustainable state under the guidance of Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Fadillah expressed confidence in the commitment of all parties involved, stating that the convention would proceed smoothly and achieve its intended goals. His comments came in a Facebook post after chairing the South Zone Sarawak PBB Convention Main Committee Meeting. The meeting focused on various aspects of preparation, including the appointment of committee members, coordination of organisational aspects, logistics, programme flow, and ensuring the committee's readiness for the convention's execution.
