According to BERNAMA News Agency, the other matters discussed were strengthening border security, increasing posts and the Borneonisation of the federal public service, and increasing the number of parliamentary seats in Sabah and Sarawak. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) is more than a historical document; it represents a national commitment that must be fulfilled with sincerity and fairness.

He highlighted the importance of implementing agreed-upon terms and continuing negotiations on unresolved issues with wisdom and a spirit of consensus. This sentiment was shared in a post on his Facebook page, underscoring the ongoing efforts to fulfill the promises of the MA63.

The meeting, which focused on progress in implementing the MA63, was also attended by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, and other leaders from the federal and state governments. The Prime Minister reiterated the federal government's commitment to fostering discussions with the Sabah and Sarawak governments, aiming for a unified approach to ensure prosperity is shared fairly among all Malaysians.
