Banting: Local agro-farming company Tayyib Ranch Sdn Bhd (Tayyib Ranch), known for producing beef, has introduced an instalment payment plan starting this month to help underprivileged households who wish to perform ibadah korban (sacrificial ritual).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiative, spearheaded by spokesperson Mohd Sakhedan Sidek, aims to assist lower-income groups, including the Orang Asli, who may find it challenging to make a lump sum payment for a portion of cow ahead of the Aidiladha celebration, which falls in June. A portion of a cow classified as Grade C costs RM750, inclusive of slaughtering and packaging. Many in the lower-income bracket face financial constraints, making it difficult to afford a lump sum payment, especially with multiple expenses to manage.
With this instalment plan, participants can start paying now to ease their financial burden. Mohd Sakhedan also encouraged buyers to visit the company’s farm in Kampung Sungai Kelambu, Banting, Selangor, to view and even feed the cattle. The farm ensures that their cows are fed a diet of pellets, soy pellets, corn, white pollard, and Napier grass. All cattle are vaccinated and in good health.
This year, Tayyib Ranch has set aside 1,000 cows for customers opting for the instalment plan. Interested parties can contact the company’s administration at 013-2314711 or 013-2374711 for more details. Last year, the company distributed free beef during Aidiladha to support lower-income families.
