Kuala lumpur: Thailand's Prime Minister's wife Thananon Charnvirakul enjoyed a leisurely cruise on Tasik Putrajaya on Thursday, taking in panoramic views of Malaysia's administrative capital and its iconic landmarks. She was received upon arrival at about 12.10 pm by the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. According to BERNAMA News Agency, during the 45-minute cruise, Thananon and Dr Wan Azizah were seen in conversation while taking in Putrajaya's picturesque landscape. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife arrived in Malaysia earlier today for a two-day official visit and were accorded an official welcoming ceremony at the Bunga Raya Complex of Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The visit, Anutin's first since his reappointment as prime minister in March 2026, is being undertaken at the invitation of Anwar and reflects the shared commitment of Malaysia and Thailand to further strengthen their longstanding bilateral ties and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
