Kuala lumpur: Three of five unlicensed photographers suspected to be involved in an attack on two individuals at Persiaran Menara Berkembar Petronas (KLCC) on March 22 will be charged tomorrow.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Sazalee Adam stated that the three will be charged under Regulation 25(1)(n) of the National Registration Regulations 1990 for not possessing identification documents as Malaysian citizens. Additionally, two other suspects involved in the attack have already been charged today under Section 149 and 324 of the Penal Code.
The arrests of the five photographers took place around KLCC along Jalan Ampang on March 22 to aid the investigations into the incident. The attack reportedly occurred when the victim noticed and approached a group of men assaulting an Indian tourist.
As the victim attempted to intervene and disperse the group, they were unexpectedly attacked from behind by an individual wielding a kerambit knife.
