Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecasted Across Numerous Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: MetMalaysia issued a forecast that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected across most states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur until 9 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas include Perlis, as well as several districts in Kedah such as Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Perak, the regions of Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim are also under alert.

The adverse weather conditions are anticipated to impact Kelantan, specifically Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang. Terengganu's areas including Hulu Terengganu and Dungun, as well as parts of Pahang like Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, and Jerantut, are also expected to experience similar weather. In Selangor, the districts of Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling are on the warning list.

Negeri Sembilan is expected to face these conditions in Jempol, while in Johor, Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, and Kulai are likely to be affected. Sarawak will also experience these weather patterns, including regions such as Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi), and Limbang.

In Sabah, the Interior Division, which includes Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, and Tambunan, along with the West Coast areas of Papar, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Kota Belud, are among those forecasted to experience severe weather until the evening.
