Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting eight states until 5pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights that the adverse weather conditions are anticipated in Perlis, Kedah (specifically Langkawi), and several parts of Perak, including Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim.
The weather warning extends to Pahang, targeting Cameron Highlands and Bentong, along with Hulu Selangor in the state of Selangor. In Johor, the affected regions include Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.
In Sabah, the warning encompasses the Interior areas of Keningau and Tambunan, the West Coast, Tawau, Kinabatangan in Sandakan, and Kudat. Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the alert is in place for Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Song, and Kapit in the Kapit division, as well as Tatau in the Bintulu division.
