Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several states until 7 pm.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights that Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and various districts in Perak, namely Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim, are expected to experience severe weather conditions.
In Terengganu, the forecasted areas include Dungun and Kemaman. Meanwhile, Pahang is anticipated to see adverse weather in Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Kuantan, and Bera. In Johor, the districts of Tangkak, Segamat, and Muar are on alert, alongside the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
The warning extends to Sarawak, affecting Kuching, Samarahan (including Samarahan and Asajaya), Sibu, Mukah (Daro and Matu), Kapit (Belaga), Miri (Telang Usan), and Limbang. In Sabah, the interior regions, the West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Tuaran), Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, and Semporna), and Sandakan (Tongod) are included in the alert, as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.
