Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in five states until 11 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the adverse weather conditions are expected to affect several regions across Peninsular Malaysia, including Kelantan (Kota Bharu, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh), Terengganu (Kemaman), and Pahang (Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, and Kuantan).
In addition, MetMalaysia has extended a similar warning to parts of East Malaysia. In Sarawak, the warning is in place for Limbang (Lawas), while in Sabah, the Interior (Nabawan and Keningau), the West Coast (Ranau), and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Beluran, and Sandakan) are expected to experience adverse weather conditions.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety as the weather conditions may lead to flash floods and other hazards.
