Thunderstorms Warning Issued for Ten Malaysian States and Kuala Lumpur

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain in 10 states and the federal capital until 9 pm today. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the adverse weather is forecast to affect Perlis, as well as specific areas in Kedah including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Yan, Pendang, Pokok Sena and Padang Terap. In Perak, the regions anticipated to experience similar conditions are Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta and Perak Tengah.

In Kelantan, thunderstorms are expected to impact Jeli, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Tumpat, Machang, Kota Bharu, Pasir Puteh, Bachok, and Kuala Krai. Terengganu is also on the alert with forecasts for Kuala Nerus, Setiu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, and Besut. Additionally, Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan, and Jerantut, Raub, Temerloh, Bentong, and Bera in Pahang are included in the warning. In Selangor, the areas impacted are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat.

Furthermore, in Sarawak and Sabah, regions such as Kapit (Song), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Sarikei (Julau), Mukah (Matu, Dalat, Daro, and Tanjung Manis), Kuching, and Bintulu (Tatau) are likely to be affected. In Sabah, areas in the Interior (Tambunan and Pensiangan), West Coast (Ranau), and Sandakan (Telupid, Paitan, and Labuk and Sugut) are also under the weather alert.
