Kuala lumpur: The 'Turun Anwar' rally scheduled for this Saturday highlights the Perikatan Nasional (PN)'s lack of innovative ideas to counter claims about the government's economic management, according to Political Secretary to the Finance Minister, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim. He noted that despite accusations of economic mismanagement, current figures indicate consistent recovery and growth in the country's economy.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kamil, who is also the Angkatan Muda Keadlilan (AMK) chief, emphasized that economic indicators such as growth, inflation, unemployment rates, and investment volumes are being criticized due to underlying motives of hatred and greed. He argued that this reflects the opposition's failure to engage constructively and propose viable alternatives to the current government's policies.
Kamil pointed out that while the country's leadership is focused on development, the opposition has resorted to conflict without presenting a viable candidate to succeed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Despite the criticism, he reaffirmed that the MADANI government supports the freedom to assemble peacefully, with the prime minister ensuring no intimidation from authorities.
Kamil commented that the opposition's decision to demonstrate against Anwar Ibrahim underscores the superficiality of their political strategy, especially when contrasted with the government's commitment to fulfilling the people's aspirations.
