Wan Azizah Stresses Need for Infrastructure and Congestion Solutions in Bandar Tun Razak for MP13

Kuala lumpur: Various issues including the lack of essential infrastructure such as health clinics and congestion problems around Bandar Tun Razak are among the matters that will be included in the 13th Malaysia Plan (MP13) report. Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, highlighted the results of the Public Engagement Session for the MP13, which also underscored the absence of recreational parks in the area.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Azizah emphasized the importance of incorporating public feedback into the MP13. She noted that fewer problems were reported regarding dengue fever, health, crowding, and sports facilities, but stressed the need for more recreational parks to promote healthy lifestyle practices. "We often promote healthy lifestyle practices, which is why there needs to be more recreational parks," she explained.

She addressed the media following the closing ceremony of the Public Engagement Session for the Drafting of the 13th Malaysia Plan for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, held at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Training Institute, Bandar Tun Razak. Wan Azizah underscored the session's significance in ensuring that the voices and concerns of the people are examined by the government for consideration.

Wan Azizah expressed hope that the session would gather various perspectives for study and proposal to the Ministry of Economy. Media reports previously indicated that the Economy Ministry is finalising the preparation of the MP13 document, which is expected to be presented in Parliament this month.

The MP13 document is scheduled for presentation in the Dewan Rakyat on July 31 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who also serves as the Minister of Finance. The MP13, which charts the direction for national development from 2026 to 2030, is the first document drafted by the MADANI Government under Anwar's administration as the 10th Prime Minister.
