Iskandar Puteri:Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach Xisco Munoz praised his team's tactical maturity and relentless intensity following their 3-0 victory against Thailand's Port FC in the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Munoz expressed pride in JDT's consistent performance throughout the match, highlighting their control over the game's tempo and tactical execution. "Congratulations to the players because it was an amazing night. It was a very good performance, and I think they had control in all aspects of the game," Munoz stated during the post-match press conference.
Despite the win, concerns arose regarding key striker Bergson Da Silva, who had to be substituted late in the game. Munoz mentioned that the coaching staff is awaiting official medical feedback on Da Silva's condition, hoping the injury is not severe, given the demanding schedule of upcoming matches.
Port FC's head coach, Bozidar Bandovic, acknowledged JDT's superior performance and conceded that the victory was well-deserved. He noted that JDT dominated the first half and effectively capitalized on their chances in the second half, making it difficult for Port FC to recover.
The victory provides JDT with a momentum boost as they prepare for their upcoming away fixture against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in South Korea on November 3.
