Bachok: Yayasan Kelantan Darulnaim has channelled welfare assistance of RM250 to each student affected by the hostel fire at Sekolah Menengah Ugama (A) Darul Ulum Muhammadiah, Kolam, Pak Bado, Bachok, last Sunday. Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan stated that the assistance is aimed at easing the burden on students and helping meet their immediate needs.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, condolences have been extended to the families of the students, teachers, and school administrators who were impacted by the incident. Fortunately, the fire did not result in any loss of life or serious injuries, which has been a relief to all parties involved.

The media had previously reported that three blocks of the school were destroyed in the fire, which involved permanent structures, with one block almost completely razed. The school, established in 1990, has 251 students, with 112 residing in the hostel.
