Yayasan Muhibbah Continues Aid Mission In Rantau Panjang

Rantau Panjang: Yayasan Muhibbah reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the community by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rantau Panjang state assembly today. Director, Lo Nyok Mooi, stated that under the MoU, the foundation will continue to provide aid for the next two years, extending the assistance given during last year's monsoon season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Lo Nyok Mooi highlighted the critical importance of this partnership, noting that Rantau Panjang is one of the areas most affected by floods. The MoU ensures that continuous support is available for those in need. This is the foundation's first MoU with a state assembly, and it aims to provide aid tailored to current needs. Assistance will not only be focused on flood relief but will also include school support, Ramadan preparations, festive aid, and other emergencies.

Since November of the previous year, Yayasan Muhibbah has distributed seven trailer loads of aid valued at RM1 million to flood victims. The foundation has set a target to provide RM5 million in assistance over the next two years. Active since 2018, Yayasan Muhibbah has secured contributions from various corporate entities, including those from Singapore and Hong Kong. These contributions cover a range of items such as food, stationery, furniture, beverages, and frozen food.
