Hangzhou:The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo recently took place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, drawing over 2,000 companies from around the world to exhibit the latest artificial intelligence applications in digital trade.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, notable participants included Hangzhou Xynova Technology Co Ltd, showcasing its advanced dexterous hands, and Bibo (Hangzhou) Automotive Electronics Co Ltd, which presented intelligent automotive chassis solutions. Both companies operate out of the Yuhang Economic Development Zone, which is positioning itself as a hub for intelligent manufacturing and innovation in northern Hangzhou.

The zone is actively developing industries in smart manufacturing, new equipment, new materials, and new energy, focusing on sectors like chips, robotics, and digital energy. Efforts are underway to advance manufacturing through digitalization, technological sophistication, and sustainability.

To support this growth, the zone offers industrial facilities and services tailored to companies at various stages of development. The Renheli Hangshi Intelligent Manufacturing Center provides 210,000 square meters of industrial space, including factories and R&D offices, while the Xinchuang Space · Yuhang Semiconductor Industrial Park offers specialized facilities for semiconductor companies, featuring cleanrooms and collaboration spaces.

Additionally, Zichuang Future Smart Manufacturing Valley provides 56,000 square meters of flexible space for electronics and IT companies, alongside investment support and assistance with government programs. The SRDI Complex accommodates innovation-driven enterprises with flexible layouts and shared facilities. A new general equipment manufacturing project is also set to begin construction in December 2026.

The zone's 'mega-incubator' strategy aims to support companies from technology development to commercial production through various services, including government policy applications and talent recruitment. Furthermore, the integration of industrial development with urban amenities, such as a waterfront trail and talent apartments, is designed to attract innovators and businesses serving both domestic and international markets.
