Putrajaya: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ali Umar Yaqoub Abbasi, today held discussions in Putrajaya on the future of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid shared on his Facebook page that the discussion occurred during a courtesy visit by Sheikh Ali Umar to his office. The meeting addressed Malaysia's concern over the fate of the Palestinian people and the ongoing support for their cause.
Ahmad Zahid expressed hopes for divine blessing on their efforts and reiterated Malaysia's commitment to supporting Palestinians in their pursuit of peace and justice. He emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.
In an earlier engagement, Sheikh Ali Umar also visited Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Seri Perdana Complex, accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan.
