While addressing the gathering at the 120th anniversary celebration of the National Audit Department, Anwar, also serving as Finance Minister, shared a light-hearted moment that connected personal and professional spheres.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar commenced his remarks by expressing appreciation for the smooth execution of the event before segueing into the English Premier League's recent match results. He remarked, "Alhamdulillah, we can carry out this event successfully. I am even happier because yesterday Arsenal scored two, but Manchester United scored three." This comment, aimed at his grandson's disappointment, elicited laughter from those in attendance.

The event was attended by notable figures including Dewan Ra kyat Speaker Tan Sri Dr Johari Abdul, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and Auditor-General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi.
