ASEAN and EU Strengthen Regional Cooperation at Kuala Lumpur Conference

Kuala lumpur: The ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference (PMC) with the European Union (EU) was convened at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on 11 July 2025. This conference was part of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and Related Meetings. Occurring simultaneously with the Post-Ministerial Conference with the United Kingdom, the event highlighted ASEAN's commitment to fostering strong ties with like-minded global partners during a crucial period for regional collaboration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the meeting was jointly led by His Excellency Dato' Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, who served as the ASEAN Country Coordinator for Dialogue Relations, and Her Excellency Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. This collaboration underscores both ASEAN and the EU's dedication to enhancing diplomatic and economic relations, contributing to stability and development in the region.
