Astana: The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) has been recognized as a crucial strategic partner for Malaysian missions abroad, playing a vital role in disseminating news that aligns with national interests, including government policies, bilateral relations, and activities involving Malaysia. This recognition comes from the Malaysian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Mohd Adli Abdullah, who highlighted Bernama's significant contribution to the country's international presence.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah emphasized that since its inception, Bernama has served as a vital source of authentic, accurate, and authoritative information not only for Malaysians at home but also for the Malaysian diaspora. He noted, "For us at Malaysian missions abroad, Bernama is a strategic partner in disseminating and sharing the latest news of interest to the country," marking the agency's 59th anniversary.

Mohd Adli further mentioned that Bernama's professional coverage ensures that Malaysians receive the latest and most precise information, reinforcing a sense of unity, even when separated by distance. He praised the dedication and professionalism of Bernama's representatives during Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's official visit to Kazakhstan in May 2024, stating that their comprehensive and integrity-based reporting played a crucial role in highlighting the visit's significance and the Malaysian missions' roles abroad.

The ambassador expressed appreciation for Bernama's commitment during the visit, which not only helped elucidate the visit's importance to the Malaysian audience but also enhanced Malaysia's international image. Mohd Adli anticipates the same level of dedication during the upcoming official visit of the Kazakhstan President to Malaysia scheduled for July this year, underscoring that quality coverage is essential in bolstering bilateral relations between the two nations.
