Bukit Aman Classified Crimes Unit to Investigate Former Army Chief’s Allegations Against Activist

The Bukit Aman Classified Crimes Investigation Unit is set to take over the probe into allegations made by former Chief of Army Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan against an activist. The Kuala Lumpur police chief, Datuk Fadil Marsus, confirmed this development through a brief statement today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain filed police reports at Dang Wangi police station concerning leaked banking documents and the dissemination of statements he claims are slanderous. The former army chief has expressed intentions to potentially pursue civil action against the banking institution and the individual allegedly responsible for the defamation.

Datuk Fadil Marsus stated, "We received reports about the matter, the contents and the investigation have been taken over by the Bukit Aman Classified Crimes Unit," indicating the seriousness of the claims and the need for specialized investigation by the classified u nit.
