Kuala lumpur: Eight states and Kuala Lumpur are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 6 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia issued a warning at 3:10 pm, indicating that the adverse weather conditions are forecast to affect Bandar Baharu in Kedah. In Perak, the areas expected to be impacted include Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak.
On the East Coast, Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu, along with Rompin in Pahang, are anticipated to experience similar weather patterns. The same warning has been extended to Petaling in Selangor, and in Negeri Sembilan, the areas of Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin are included. Segamat in Johor is also under the alert.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the severe weather conditions are forecast to occur in Kapit, specifically in the Song and Kapit areas, as well as in Bintulu, particularly Tatau.
