Petaling jaya: Today marks a difficult anniversary for Selangor FC winger Faisal Halim, two years after the acid attack, but he remains determined to give his best against Vietnam's Nam Dinh FC in the first leg of the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) Shopee Cup semi-finals tomorrow.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 28-year-old said although the incident remains hard for him to accept, he continues to draw strength from the support of teammates, coaches, family, and fans as he strives to regain his best form.
Faisal expressed that while scoring in tomorrow's match would be meaningful on a personal level, the team's result was more important. He emphasized that regardless of who scores, the priority is to achieve a positive outcome for the team.
In preparation for the match, Faisal urged his teammates to capitalize on their home advantage but highlighted that success would depend on the effort put in on the field. He noted the significance of playing at their home stadium with familiar surroundings and support but reiterated the necessity of hard work to secure a favorable result.
