Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives experienced a downturn in early trading on Thursday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9:30 am, the October 2025 contract decreased by 6.0 points to 1,602.0. The November 2025 contract saw a drop of 6.5 points to 1,601.5, while the December 2025 contract declined by 5.0 points to 1,602.0. Additionally, the March 2026 contract fell by 11.5 points to 1,578.5.
The turnover was reported at 1,893 lots, with open interest totaling 42,058 contracts. Despite the decline in futures contracts, the benchmark FBM KLCI showed an increase of 3.29 points, reaching 1,605.98 after 48 minutes of trading, compared to the previous day's close of 1,602.69.
