FBM KLCI Futures Contracts See Gains Aligning with Cash Market

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the day with gains, mirroring the performance of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot month June 2025, September 2025, and December 2025 contracts increased by 7.0 points, reaching 1,505.50, 1,486.50, and 1,491.50, respectively. The July 2025 contract also saw an increase, rising by 6.5 points to settle at 1,503.00.

Turnover experienced a reduction, dropping to 4,096 lots compared to 7,931 lots on Tuesday. Open interest also saw a decrease, falling to 34,744 contracts from the previous 38,949 contracts recorded yesterday.

At the close of the trading session at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index rose by 4.72 points or 0.31 percent, reaching its intraday high of 1,507.97, up from Tuesday's closing figure of 1,503.25.
