FBM KLCI Futures Experience Opening Decline

Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Friday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.30 am, the September 2025 contract decreased by 2.5 points to 1,595.5. Meanwhile, the October 2025 contract slipped by two points to 1,591.5. Both the December 2025 and March 2026 contracts saw a decline of three points each, settling at 1,585.5 and 1,565.0, respectively.

The turnover for the futures contracts stood at 1,186 lots, with an open interest totaling 41,562 contracts. Meanwhile, the benchmark FBM KLCI recorded a fall of 2.14 points to 1,596.79 after 45 minutes of trading, compared with its previous close of 1,598.93.
