Global Energy Crisis Strategy: Zahid Highlights Gov’t Commitment to Solutions

Bagan datuk: The government is making every effort to find solutions to address the pressures arising from the impact of the global energy crisis following the conflict in West Asia, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zahid stated that the government's commitment includes convening weekly meetings with industry leaders through the National Economic Action Council (MTEN). These meetings aim to provide briefings and input to council members while discussing possible solutions. Zahid emphasized that industry leaders' views are considered in the measures being implemented by the government.

Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, highlighted that daily briefings are being held live to ensure information is effectively conveyed to the public. Speaking to reporters after attending the Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament's Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, Zahid urged all parties to avoid complacency and be prepared to face the ongoing crisis.

The Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, hosted by the Bagan Datuk MP, attracted approximately 14,000 visitors. The event was also attended by notable figures, including Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, and Majlis Amanah Rakyat chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
