Higher Education Ministry Implements Over 100 Disease Awareness Programs at Public Universities

Kuala lumpur: A total of 123 advocacy and education programs focusing on infectious, sexual, and reproductive diseases have been conducted at public universities, reaching over 50,000 students, as reported by the Dewan Negara today. Higher Education Minister Zambry Abd Kadir highlighted these initiatives as integral to the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia's (MOHE) strategy to address and reduce HIV cases among students at higher learning institutions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MOHE is collaborating with several organizations, including the Malaysian AIDS Council and the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, to offer screening and follow-up treatment services, specifically targeting students who are considered at-risk.
