Hong Kong: The Global Business Complexity Index (GBCI), recently launched by TMF Group, has identified Hong Kong and New Zealand as the easiest jurisdictions for doing business in the Asia-Pacific region. The GBCI analyses the business environment of 79 jurisdictions, accounting for 94% of the world's GDP, and ranks them based on over 250 indicators of business complexity.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the rankings place Hong Kong as the fourth easiest jurisdiction for the second consecutive year. The jurisdiction is known for its straightforward and low tax regime, which is highly appealing to international businesses seeking a favourable business environment.
