Hong Kong Showcases Luxury and Marine Offerings at Monaco Yacht Show

Kuala Lumpur:The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and Informa Markets highlighted Hong Kong's tourism, marine, and luxury business offerings at the Monaco Yacht Show held from September 23 to 26. This event marked the beginning of a global promotional roadshow under their three-year Strategic City Partnership.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the partnership aims to boost Hong Kong's profile in the international luxury, marine, and lifestyle sectors, and to promote the inaugural Festival of Connoisseurs (TFOC), scheduled for November 4 to 6 at AsiaWorld-Expo.

The Monaco Yacht Show served as a platform for HKTB to engage with key figures in the yachting and marine industries, luxury brands, investors, and high-net-worth travelers. The event emphasized Hong Kong's connectivity with the Greater Bay Area, the Chinese Mainland, and wider Asia.

As part of the partnership, HKTB will participate in several international luxury and lifestyle events such as the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Basilia Jewellery and Watch Fair, Top Marques Monaco, and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

At Monaco, HKTB collaborated with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels, Airport Authority Hong Kong, and AsiaWorld-Expo to promote the city's tourism, aviation, business events, and international trade capabilities.

HKTB Executive Director Anthony Lau remarked that the Monaco Yacht Show was instrumental in presenting Hong Kong to influential global yachting industry players, showcasing its marine ecosystem, infrastructure, and connectivity.

Informa Markets highlighted Hong Kong's access to the growing wealth markets in the Greater Bay Area and Asia, supported by its natural harbor and international air connectivity. The city also hosts notable marine and sailing events like SailGP and the Dragon World Championship, enhancing its allure for marine tourism, business networking, and premium lifestyle experiences.

The Festival of Connoisseurs will launch in Hong Kong under a "city-as-your-showroom" concept, featuring nine themes including yachting, mobility, art, travel, wellness, and gastronomy. The event is envisioned to evolve into a citywide flagship festival by 2027.
