Graz: INNIO Group, in collaboration with the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers, has successfully completed a groundbreaking, industry-first demonstration of a backup power solution for data centers utilizing 100% hydrogen-fueled gas engines at a 3 MW scale. This milestone test was conducted as part of the Hub's strategic initiative to identify and validate cutting-edge technologies that can be deployed on a large scale within the data center sector. The demonstration was attended by technical experts from major industry players, including Microsoft, Google, and Data4, who evaluated the system's performance against the operational demands of data centers.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, INNIO's natural gas engines are known for their quick start-up capabilities, robust transient response, and consistent performance.
