Denver: Johns Manville (JM), a global building and specialty products manufacturer and a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced that Bob Wamboldt will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with John Vasuta set to assume the role effective August 1.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Vasuta joined JM in 2019 as President of the company's Engineered Products business and currently serves on the Board of Directors for EJ, a global leader and private manufacturer of infrastructure access products for water, sewer, utilities, drainage, and telecommunications. Vasuta expressed his honor in stepping into the CEO role, emphasizing his commitment to serving customers and supporting employees.
Before joining JM, Vasuta held several leadership positions at Bridgestone Corporation, including President of Firestone Building Products International and Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing, and Operations. The company noted that Vasuta's leadership, industry expertise, and strong relationships with customers and employees position him well to lead JM into the future.
Bob Wamboldt, who joined JM in 2003 and became President and CEO in 2020, expressed pride in the progress achieved during his tenure. He voiced confidence in Vasuta's capability to guide the company to greater success. JM Chair, Mary Rhinehart, acknowledged Wamboldt's contributions and extended congratulations on his retirement, looking forward to Vasuta building on the strong foundation laid by Wamboldt.
