According to BERNAMA News Agency, the first regu comprising Zuleffendi Sumari (apit kiri), Muhammad Haziq Hairul Nizam (tekong), and Muhammad Noraizat Mohd Nordin (perejam) clinched the first point with a 15-10, 15-10 victory. The second regu, consisting of Mohammad Syahir Mohd Rosdi, Mohamad Azlan Alias, and Farhan Adam, followed suit with a 15-10, 15-12 win.
The final triumph came from Muhammad Zulkifli Abd Razak, Muhammad Afifuddin Mohd Razali, and Aidil Aiman Azwawi, who secured Malaysia's win with a commanding 15-3, 15-5 victory. This win positions Malaysia strongly in Group B as they prepare to face Myanmar in their next match.
The Malaysian team manager, Datuk Abu Jimi Samat, cautioned the team against underestimating Myanmar, acknowledging their capability to present a stiff challenge based on past encounters.
