Kelantan Gov’t Denies Organizing Motorcycle Convoy to Sultan Ismail Petra Airport

Kota bharu: The motorcycle convoy to Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (LTSIP) yesterday was not organised by the Kelantan state government, as confirmed by Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan. He clarified that the event was an individual initiative, emphasizing the importance of complying with regulations, especially in public areas.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan stressed that all parties must adhere to the law and prioritize safety, particularly in sensitive locations like airports. He highlighted the necessity for cooperation to ensure public safety and prevent disruptions at such facilities. Airports are strategic locations that require a high level of security to ensure smooth passenger movement, he noted.

A social media post that went viral earlier mentioned a programme called 'Konvoi and Lepak Mat Motor Bersama YB', which was allegedly organised by the Government Supporters Club and State PAS Youth Wing from 5 pm to 7 pm. Meanwhile, Transport Minister Anthony Loke has reportedly described the involvement of several Kelantan assemblymen in organising the convoy to LTSIP as highly irresponsible.
