Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Thursday, reflecting a decrease in the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.35 am, the June 2026 contract fell by 9.5 points to 1,681.50. The July 2026 contract saw a drop of 11 points, settling at 1,683.00. Meanwhile, the September contract eased by 9.0 points to 1,665.50, and December 2026 slipped by 8.5 points to 1,665.00.
The turnover for the futures market was recorded at 8,114 lots, with open interest amounting to 41,318 contracts. At 9.57 am, the benchmark index was down by 4.05 points, standing at 1,678.08, compared to the previous day's close of 1,682.13.
