KLCI Futures Opens Higher Tracking Cash Market Gains

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened on a positive note, mirroring gains observed in the underlying cash market. As of 9.17 am, the futures for February 2026 and June 2026 increased by 11 points to 1,751.50 and 1,736.0, respectively. Meanwhile, March 2026 and September 2026 futures each added 10.5 points, reaching 1,731.0 and 1,723.0, respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the session was recorded at 1,493 lots, with the open interest standing at 38,952 contracts. The FBM KLCI itself showed an upward movement, advancing by 6.97 points to 1,748.23 after 35 minutes of trading, compared to the previous close on Monday, which was 1,741.26.
