MACC Staff Performing Haj Urged To Embrace Patience, Integrity

Kuala lumpur: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki has reminded staff selected to perform the haj pilgrimage to uphold patience and integrity while fulfilling the religious duty. He said the challenges of performing haj remained unchanged despite the passage of time, making patience an essential quality for every pilgrim.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tan Sri Azam Baki expressed his hopes that all prospective pilgrims would be able to perform the fifth pillar of Islam in the best possible manner and be blessed with a mabrur haj. His remarks were part of a statement issued by the MACC following a ceremony honoring six of its personnel selected for the 1447H/2026 haj season.

The personnel chosen for the pilgrimage include Policy, Planning and Research Division director Datuk Rasidah Abdul Karim; Perak (Taiping) senior assistant superintendent Ahmad Faiz Hasan; Penang MACC officer Muhammad Faizal Ismail; senior assistant commissioner Ahmad Faiz Hasan; assistant commissioner Haryazi Baharom of the Records and Information Management Division; and Hajar Hashim of the Management Services Division.

At the ceremony, which was organized by the Excellence and Professionalism Division, Azam presented contributions and souvenirs to the prospective pilgrims as a gesture of appreciation and support. This act reflects the MACC's commitment to staff welfare while nurturing spiritual strength and reinforcing integrity among its officers.

The first group of Malaysian haj pilgrims is scheduled to depart for the Holy Land from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 early tomorrow morning.
