Kuala lumpur: The number of flood evacuees in Melaka dropped to 76 people from 21 families as of 5 pm today, compared with 124 people from 37 families at 8 am.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, 14 people from three families are being sheltered at one temporary relief centre (PPS) in the Melaka Tengah district, namely the Pantai Kundor State Legislative Assembly Development and Coordination Committee (Japerun) hall.
Meanwhile, in the Jasin district, 37 people from 10 families are being accommodated at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Serkam Darat relief centre, while 25 evacuees from eight families remain at the SK Bukit Tembakau relief centre.
The portal said the evacuees comprise 55 adults and 21 children.
