Melaka: More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day Melaka Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Mini Carnival, starting tomorrow, at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) here. KPDN deputy minister Senator Datuk Dr. Fuziah Salleh stated that the event is part of the ministry's efforts to bring KPDN initiatives, services, and programmes closer to the community through a relaxed, interactive, and people-friendly approach.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the carnival's main attraction is the MADANI Rahmah Sales Programme (PJRM), which offers visitors the opportunity to purchase daily necessities at low prices, thereby easing household expenses. Fuziah noted that PJRM's presence at the carnival allows the public to gain insights into government initiatives and directly experience the benefits of KPDN's programmes in acquiring essential goods at affordable prices.

Visitors can explore various exhibition booths, receive advisory services, and participate in business matching sessions throughout the carnival. An electronic sports (E-Sports) tournament will be held in collaboration with Todak, along with the Menu Rahmah sale by food truck vendors, a children's colouring competition, performances by artistes, and an exhibition of antique cars and classic motorcycles.

The carnival offers a variety of stage and family activities, aiming to provide an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages while highlighting KPDN's roles in consumer protection, price monitoring, law enforcement, and efforts to address the cost of living.

Fuziah encourages the local community and the public to attend and participate in the Melaka-level KPDN Mini Carnival celebration. The carnival will be open from 10 am to 10 pm tomorrow and on Saturday, while Sunday hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm.
