Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several areas across Perak, Pahang, Sarawak, and Sabah. The warning also extends to the entire states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and the Federal Territory of Labuan, valid until 1 am on October 24.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement outlined the specific areas in Perak, including Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak. In Pahang, the regions affected are Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Maran, and Kuantan.

The statement further detailed that in Sarawak, the areas involved are Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Sarikei (Julau), Sibu, Mukah (Matu, Dalat and Mukah), Kapit, Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi). Meanwhile, in Sabah, the warning covers Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Tawau, Kunak, Semporna, Lahad Datu, Sandakan, Tongod, and Kinabatangan.
