Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for 10 states, effective until 6 PM today. This alert covers the entire states of Perlis and Penang, along with several districts in Kedah and Perak.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the districts in Kedah under the warning include Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Perak, the affected areas are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak.

The warning extends to Terengganu, covering Dungun and Kemaman, as well as Pahang, including Bentong and Bera. The districts of Gombak and Hulu Langat in Selangor are also on alert.

MetMalaysia has further indicated that Negeri Sembilan, specifically Jelebu and Seremban, will experience similar weather conditions. In Johor, the areas affected are Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, and Kota Tinggi.

In Sabah, the warning is in effect for Tawau, particularly Lahad Datu, and Sandakan, including Telupid, Kinabatangan, and Beluran.
