MetMalaysia Issues Thunderstorm Warning For Five States Until 1 Am

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak until 1 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a MetMalaysia statement issued at 8.30 pm highlighted the specific areas expected to be impacted by the severe weather conditions. In Terengganu, the districts of Dungun and Kemaman have been alerted, while in Pahang, the warning is in effect for Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin. The areas of Segamat and Mersing in Johor are also on the watch list for potential adverse weather.

In Sabah, the forecast indicates that the interior districts of Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, and Nabawan; the West Coast region, specifically Papar; as well as parts of Tawau including Lahad Datu; and Sandakan covering Tongod, Telupid, Kinabatangan, and Sandakan are likely to experience the challenging weather conditions.

The warning extends to Sarawak, where the districts of Kuching including Bau and Kuching, Samarahan covering Samarahan and Asajaya, Sri Aman, Kapit focusing on Song, and Limbang covering Lawas are expected to be under the influence of storms.
