MK3D Integrates Rural Entrepreneurship Programmes Under One Strategic, Holistic Platform

Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced the launch of Karnival Mega 3 Dimensi (MK3D) as a flagship initiative to consolidate rural entrepreneurship programmes under a single, holistic platform. The initiative integrates three major efforts - Karnival Usahawan Desa (KUD) by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), FELDA Settlers' Day, and the One-District-One-Industry Showcase (SDSI) by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) - into one strategic and cost-saving rural development programme.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this initiative brings KKDW, FELDA, and KUSKOP together under a single high-impact programme that supports rural development while reducing government expenditure. Zahid shared these insights during an exclusive media briefing on MK3D 2025. Ahmad Zahid, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, described the MK3D as a catalyst for rural entrepreneurship, bringing together support agencies, buyers, and technology providers within a single development ecosystem.

The inaugural MK3D event is expected to draw over two million visitors and will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from July 30 to Aug 3. 'We expect this carnival to generate RM209 million, not just in direct sales but through strategic business matching and networking opportunities throughout the event,' Ahmad Zahid said. He highlighted that more than 1,000 entrepreneurs from across the country will have the opportunity to promote their products to a comprehensive audience of buyers, investors, and institutional partners.

Being organised under the theme 'Desaku Mendunia', the carnival reflects the government's strategic vision to elevate rural potential as a driver of global-scale economic growth. MK3D 2025 is slated to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Aug 2.
