Kuala lumpur: MyKhas is not a personal entitlement for Members of Parliament. Instead, it is a special fund administered under the Prime Minister, disbursed directly to address the needs and welfare of the people within specific constituencies. PKR Information Chief and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil emphasized that this aligns with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's focus on ensuring government allocations benefit the people and are not an exclusive right of any elected representative.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi explained that the allocation has been formalized in the Malaysia Plan and Budget documents as a special provision under the Prime Minister's purview, to be disbursed as needed. "If we look at the Malaysia Plan documents and also the budget documents, what is referred to is the Prime Minister's special allocation. So we leave it to the Prime Minister on how to disburse it," he stated during a press conference after officiating the 2026 Safe Internet PIBG Convention for the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory level at the Imbi Convention Hall, Cheras.

Fahmi, who is also the MADANI Government spokesman, reiterated that the MyKhas mechanism was created solely to serve residents and voters in parliamentary constituencies. Its use is determined by the Prime Minister's office rather than by individual MPs. "Even I cannot use MyKhas for myself. It is for the people, for the residents and voters in the constituencies. What the Prime Minister has stated is correct, accurate and true," he affirmed.

Regarding the distribution of assistance in states won by the opposition, Fahmi clarified that applications can be made via the Implementation Coordination Unit under the Prime Minister's Department. This ensures equitable access to the funds across different political landscapes.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Anwar reiterated that government allocations channeled to parliamentary constituencies are intended to provide facilities and improve the comfort and standard of living of the people in those areas. The allocations can be directed towards public amenities, including schools, religious schools, mosques, and drainage repair works.
